Melissa Moran
Meet melissa – Real estate broker
Melissa has been interested in home design since her childhood days in Seattle tagging along with her mom to open houses and antique stores. Later, she traveled worldwide to follow her interests in architecture and furniture design but after graduating from the University of Washington followed a more “practical” career choice in project management and marketing for companies such as Microsoft and Intel. After a fulfilling career she pursued her first love and returned to school for her BFA in interior design, starting her company Forage + Scout a few years later. Real estate was a natural progression and Melissa finally ended up where she was always meant to be, fully immersed in real estate and design.
Through her design work Melissa can see the potential in homes that others sometimes can’t. A veteran of design projects large and small, she knows that a trained eye and new perspective can make all the difference between a layout that isn’t working to one that sings. She looks forward to helping clients see possibilities that may not be visible to the naked eye.
Melissa moved to Portland via Durango, Colorado and lives in a mid-century house in the Concordia neighborhood with her husband, dog and cat. They love to hike Oregon’s trails, rock hunt on the coast, and cycle and walk Portland’s unique neighborhoods. Hobbies include photography, architecture and painting.
